The Government will approve on Friday, May 26, the increase in the salary of non-teaching staff in education, announced the spokesperson of the Executive, Dan Carbunaru.

According to Agerpres, he stated that the measures that will be taken are based on the discussions held by the representatives of the governing coalition with the trade unionists in Education who are on strike.

"A measure aimed at 55.000 people working in this sector, with an average income increase of 9%", declared Dan Carbunaru, Thursday evening, in a press conference at the Victoria Palace.

To these revenues will be added, he said, two consecutive premiums, "one in June and one in October, of 500 lei each, also, these premiums being offered to all 55.000 people who work in the non-teaching staff category".

The Government official announced other measures regarding the increase in the income of Education employees.

"At the same time, for another 220.000 people who work in the educational system, I am referring here to teaching staff and auxiliary teaching staff, in June a premium for teaching career of 1.000 lei will be offered, which will be followed in October by a second premium, of 1.500 lei", said Dan Carbunaru.
