The bill prohibiting the accumulation of service pensions and state salaries was discussed by the government on Thursday. It stipulates that pensioners who also want to be state employees must give up 85 percent of their service pension during their employment.
There are exceptions, such as military personnel and police officers working in higher education, as well as persons elected to public office or those in institutions subordinate to Parliament, such as the Financial Supervisory Authority, the National Energy Regulatory Authority, or the Court of Auditors.
