The governing coalition is meeting on Wednesday for new discussions on the reform of central and local public administration, which has been postponed for a long time.
The leaders of the four parties have agreed to a 10% reduction in the number of employees, with differences still being expressed regarding salaries.
Regarding the state budget for next year, it will be adopted towards the end of January, in an extraordinary session, after the voting on the legislation on the reform of the administration.
A sensitive topic on the agenda of tomorrow's coalition is its functioning, after PSD voted yesterday, together with the opposition, for the simple motion against the Minister of Environment.
The President of UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, believes that the protocol of the governing coalition has been violated. In his opinion, from the point of view of the cohesion of the coalition, it was a mistake. However, says the UDMR leader, there is no risk of the ruling coalition breaking up, even if there are some dissatisfactions.
"Tomorrow, in the coalition, it will certainly be a topic, but we will see. What I can tell you, and this is how we have behaved every time, if we have dissatisfactions, and discontent appears in a coalition, you try having discussions, you try to find a solution, but if you intend to stay in the coalition, you do not vote for a motion. That is my approach", says Kelemen Hunor.
PSD President Sorin Grindeanu says that the Social Democrats did not violate the protocol signed within the governing coalition, they simply requested the change of the Minister of Environment before submitting the motion.
"We did not violate the protocol in any way, we understood in time what we want, namely the change of the minister, not because we have anything personal with her, but because the management she applies to this ministry is bad. I think we were clear when we told the prime minister what we, at PSD, want, and, precisely, we respected the protocol by doing this", claims Sorin Grindeanu.
USR President Dominic Fritz believes that the Social Democrats must explain within the governing coalition their position on the Senate vote.
"I think Sorin Grindeanu must give some explanations as to why he signed a coalition protocol, where we assumed with everyone, including him, through his signature, that we would not vote for such motions, and why PSD has now voted side by side with AUR on this motion. I think it is an extremely unfortunate political signal", declared Dominic Fritz.
