The Gendarmerie announces checks after organizer of commemoration of "Colectiv" victims was fined

The Gendarmerie announces that it is conducting checks after Friday evening the organizer of the commemoration of victims of "Colectiv" was fined for exceeding the approved time for the demonstration.
The institution's management announces that it will analyze whether the measure was proportional, justified and in accordance with both the letter and the spirit of the law.
The Gendarmerie specifies that in this case, from a legal point of view, there are grounds for applying a minor offense sanction, since the hours stipulated in the protocol regarding the public demonstration were not respected.
However, the institution admits that it is possible that the investigating officer did not fully understand the spirit of the law and the particularities of the event in question.
One of the organizers of the commemoration march, Marian Raduna, announced that the gendarmes fined him 3.000 lei because the demonstration had exceeded the time stated in the authorization.
