The frigate Regina Maria returned to the military port of Constanta

The frigate "Regina Maria" returned to the military port of Constanta, after more than 40 days in the Mediterranean Sea.

Romania participated for the third time in the EU-led operation, helping to enforce the UN arms embargo on Libya.

The 240 military members of the crew were welcomed by the Commander of the Fleet, Rear Admiral Cornel Eugen Cojocaru, who conveyed the message of the Romanian Naval Forces:

Thanks to your efforts and sacrifices, to those of you who participate year after year in missions, exercises and operations together with the Air Force and partners, Romania is today an example and a responsible member of the European Union. I congratulate you for the way in which you have successfully completed this particularly important mission and for the way in which you have helped to promote the image of the Romanian Army and, in particular, the Romanian Naval Forces.
