Romtelecom faces prohibition to broadcast Euro 2012
Romtelecom argues that received an incorrect invoice from TVR , that is why public television cannot prohibit the transmission of the matches of Euro 2012. Since Friday matches are submitted only by TVR.

Friday, France scored a victory over Ukraine, in Donetk, with a score of 2-0 in the quarterfinal of the group D at Euro 2012.
The goals were scored by Menez and Cabaye, in minutes 53 and 56 respectively.
The derby between Ukraine and France was broadcast by TVR instead of Dolce Sport and was interrupted in minute 5 due to a powerful electric storm. The transmission was resumed after 20,00 pm on TVR2.
This evening, the UK won over Sweden in Kiev, with a score of 3-2 and 1-0.
The goals were scored by Carroll, Walcott and Welbeck in minutes 23, 64 and 78 respectively. In the Swedish team, Johnson scored an auto goal in minute 49 and Melberg scored a goal in minute 59.
Saturday, the 16th of June, the Polan-Czech Republic and Greece-Russia derbies are scheduled at 21:45pm, the former will be broadcast on TVR2 and euro2012.tvrinfo.ro and the latter on TVR, TVR HD and euro2012.tvrinfo.ro.
TVR and Romtelecom, at odds over the Euro2012 transmission rights
Romtelecom resented the decision of TVR to forbid its broadcast of the Euro 2012 championship.
The Romtelecom representatives say that they were sent an erroneous bill by TVR and solicited its recalculation. The correct bill was sent Friday and is expected to be paid for Monday.
Romtelecom has declared in a press release issued Friday evening that TVR doesn’t have any legal right to forbid its broadcast of the Euro 2012 Championship and that it reserves the right to use every legal means to protect its interests in this regard.
Romtelecom says that, in the wake of the decision made by TVR which was issued friday and forbade the broadcast of the Euro 2012 championship, the tax bill for 550.000 EUROS TVA not included, deadlined for the 10th of June 2012, as specified in TVR’s notification, has not been paid because the correct bill, afferent to the sum, is an embezzelment of the company’s funds.
As of the 15th of June, all Euro 2012 matches are broadcast exclusively by TVR1, TVR2 and TVR HD and the website euro2012.tvrinfo.ro.
Radu Calin Cristra, general interm director of TVR, has announced that he notified Romtelecom not to broadcast any Euro 2012 matches claiming that the company hasn’t honored the agreement about the Dolce Sport broadcasting rights.
