The economic measures taken by the government led by Ilie Bolojan are considered unjustified and unnecessary by 35% of Romanians, while 26% say they are justified. Regarding the impact of the fiscal measures, 41% of respondents said it was very high and only 14% considered the influence to be low.
The survey conducted by CURS also shows that 69% of respondents believe that Romania is heading in the wrong direction and only 26% believe that it is on the right track. On the other hand, if elections were held next Sunday, AUR would get 38%, PSD 20%, PNL 15%, USR 12%, and UDMR 5%. The opinion poll was conducted in early July on a sample of 1.067 citizens aged 18 and over, using telephone interviews, and the margin of error is +/-3%.
