The Romanian Olympian students who participated in the International Geography Olympiad in Indonesia returned home with four medals and first place among nations.

Two of the winners are from Iasi, and the other two from Bucharest and Focsani, coordinated by two professors from the National College of Iasi. "Behind any success is hard work", said Dorin Fiscutean, one of the coordinators, to Radio Romania Iasi.

Dorin Fiscutean: Romania has always had good results at the international Olympics, but this year it was the first in the world both in terms of the number of medals and their value, as well as in points, and then we received the award for the best team in the world. We, this month had a centralized training and it was quite difficult, because we started in the morning at 8:00, we finished at 8:00 in the evening. Other colleagues were on vacation, we were in training and it was not so comfortable for them, but they worked, were determined and succeeded.
