Romania has a new government with full powers. The cabinet led by Ilie Bolojan was approved by Parliament with 301 votes in favor and nine against.
A total of 233 votes in favor were required for the investiture. AUR parliamentarians were not present at the meeting, according to Radio Romania News reporter Alina Stanuta.
Shortly after the results were announced, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan thanked the senators and deputies for their trust.
When presenting his priorities, he promised that reforms to put Romania back on the path to development and prosperity would begin with the state and political clientele, and that he would seek to ensure order in public finances, good governance, and respect for citizens.
