Romania condemns violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Bucharest was summoned on Thursday to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to be informed of Romania's condemnation of the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones on the night of September 9-10.
The Romanian side stressed that, by its gravity, implications and scope, the incident represents an unprecedented escalation, as well as a threat to the security of the citizens of an allied state and strategic partner of Romania.
The irresponsible nature of previous attacks by Russian forces against Ukrainian targets in the vicinity of the border with Romania was also underlined.
These affect national security and stability in the wider Black Sea region and the imperative of respecting sovereignty and international law at the mouths of the Danube, the Ministry's press release states.
