Romania buys 200 missiles for Patriot systems

RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - Romania buys 200 missiles for Patriot systems, Defense Ministry announced. Their value amounts to more than 1 billion euros. The purchase of the missiles is being done jointly with Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, through a contract negotiated by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency. The contract provides for the purchase of up to 1.000 missiles for the Patriot surface-to-air missile systems in the four countries. The Ministry of Defence has requested and received Parliament's approval to participate in this joint procurement programme.
