Radio Romania News has the highest market share in urban areas and Bucharest

According to the latest study published by the Association for Radio Audience (ARA) - spring wave 2024, Radio Romania News is the market leader in Bucharest, on the Market Share indicator (14.2%) and in urban areas (12.4%).
Radio Romania stations occupy 25% of total listening time nationwide, which places the Romanian Broadcasting Company at the top of listeners' preferences.

The spring wave of the Radio Audience Survey was conducted between 15 January and 28 April 2024 by Mercury Research and the Romanian Institute for Evaluation and Strategy - IRES.
The survey measured the audience of radio stations at national, urban, rural and Bucharest level, on a sample of 10.515 people.
The measurement of radio stations' audience in the RAS was based on the Day After Recall method, which is used by most of the existing measurement systems internationally, a methodology recommended by the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) and ESOMAR (European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research).
