President Nicusor Dan has announced that he has begun an in-depth analysis of the content and implications of joining the Peace Council Charter, an initiative launched by US President Donald Trump, to which Romania has also been invited.

This assessment aims to determine the degree of compatibility of the new initiative with Romania's commitments, particularly within the UN and the European Union. At the same time, the Romanian authorities want to identify the best ways in which the country can contribute to achieving the goal of strengthening peace in the world.

On the other hand, the Romanian head of state welcomed President Donald Trump's efforts to promote international peace and security, including efforts to identify solutions to the conflict in Gaza and other major global challenges.
