President Klaus Iohannis went to Brussels this afternoon to attend a memorial ceremony organised by the European Commission in memory of Jacques Delors, former President of the EU executive from 1985-1995, who died at the end of last year.

Tomorrow, Klaus Iohannis will attend the extraordinary meeting of the European Council, the main item on the agenda of which is to reach agreement at EU level on the main elements of the package for the revision of the multiannual financial framework for the period 2021-2027.

The most important decisions concerned are, in this context, those on support for Ukraine in all dimensions, including military support through the European Peace Facility.

The Presidential Administration states in a press release that the Head of State will strongly advocate that Ukraine remains a top priority on the European Union's agenda and, in this regard, will stress that support for this country in all forms must continue.
