Over three thousand buildings in Bucharest without sufficient hot water and heating
Articol de Radiojurnal, 11 Ianuarie 2026, 21:11
Approximately 3.500 buildings in the capital have been without hot water and heating for almost a week.
The most affected are buildings in Sectors 2 and 3, where there are over 3.300.
There are also problems in Sectors 4 and 5.
According to the Termoenergetica website, the flow of thermal energy supplied by CET SUD is insufficient to deliver hot water for consumption and heating.
Only on Monday evening, January 12, "at 11:30 p.m.", should heat and hot water return to normal, Termoenergetica adds.
A similar situation is occurring in Craiova, where Electrocentrale Craiova has informed the Ministry of Energy that, due to a technical failure, it is temporarily unable to ensure the optimal temperature parameters of the thermal agent delivered to the district heating network.
Normal operation will be restored by Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at the latest.
