Local tax reductions for people with disabilities

The government has approved several measures to reduce local taxes for people with disabilities, as well as reducing taxes for buildings older than 50 or 100 years, as agreed by the coalition leaders.
The tax on buildings, land and cars is reduced by 50% for people with severe disabilities and their legal representatives and by 25% for those with profound disabilities.
It is estimated that more than 70% of all people with disabilities will benefit from this reduction. For buildings between 50 and 100 years old, the tax will also decrease by 15%, and if the building is older than 100 years, a 25% tax reduction will apply, but things change if these buildings have been improved.
Sports facilities built by third parties and managed by associations and foundations will also be exempt from paying taxes and fees if the authorities decide so at the local level, but the exemption granted in a year cannot exceed 5% of the total taxes and fees collected by the city hall in the previous year.
The emergency ordinance stipulates that people who have already paid their taxes and fees will either receive their money back, or this money will be able to remain in the account of outstanding or future tax obligations.
