USR launches "Romania 2036" campaign, in which it will debate, together with civil society, the most important themes in the next 10 years. The announcement was made by the party's president, Dominic Fritz, at the official opening of the USR Congress, on Friday evening, in Sibiu.
On Saturday and Sunday, delegates from across the country will debate the over 300 proposals regarding the modification of the party's statute. USR President, Dominic Fritz, indicated at a press conference that, although the party's values remain unchanged, a modification of the statute is necessary 10 years after the party's founding, which is now facing new challenges.
Dominic Fritz: We understand that we also have to adapt, we have to become more open, we have to be more welcoming to people in society, we have to become stronger, including through new technologies, and all of these things we will debate and they will be transformed into new statutory mechanisms for our USR statute. I am very confident that this process will lead to a stronger USR, a USR that will be able to win more elections and will be able to offer better solutions for Romanians.
