Nicusor Dan: Let's fight for one Romania, not for two

Nicusor Dan: Good evening! Elections are not about politicians. Elections are about communities.
In today's elections a community of Romanians who want a profound change in Romania won, a community that wants to make state institutions functional, a community that wants to reduce corruption, a community that wants a prosperous economic environment for Romanians, a community that wants a society of dialogue and not a society of hate.
I want to thank the tens of thousands of Romanians who campaigned for an idea all these weeks.
They have demonstrated an impressive strength of Romanian society, one far above the level of political debate in this country.
And when Romania will go through difficult times, let us remember the strength of this Romanian society.
There is a community that lost today's elections, a community that is rightly outraged by the way politics has been conducted so far in Romania, a community that is so outraged that it believes that the solution for Romania at this moment is revolution.
It is our obligation to convince these people that the solution for Romanian society is the reform of justice and the reform of the administration in this country, so that Romania can move forward.
It is our task to fight for one Romania, not for two.
We are currently living in a moment of hope. But please be patient for the period to come.
It will be a difficult period, necessary to economically balance this country, to lay the foundations for a healthy society.
Please, hope and patience. I want to assure all of you, including those who did not vote for me, the Romanians in Romania, the Romanians in the diaspora, the Romanians in Bessarabia and the Romanians around the national territory, that I will do everything in my power to ensure that the Romanian state finally serves the citizens of this country.
Let us all enjoy tonight, and tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow, let us all together start rebuilding Romania!
