National Flag Day will be celebrated on Thursday

National Flag Day will be celebrated on Thursday in Bucharest, starting at 10:00 a.m., with a ceremony that will take place in Tricolor Square, near the National Military Club Palace. At the event organized by the Ministry of National Defense together with the Prefecture of the Capital and the Bucharest City Hall, the National Flag will be blessed by a military priest and raised on the flagpole in the square, to the strains of the Romanian National Anthem.
Similar ceremonies will also take place in garrisons across the country. On National Flag Day, wounded soldiers from the INVICTUS Romania team will mark the event by climbing Omu Peak, where a flag measuring approximately 100 meters will be unfurled.
