More than 3.5 million ballots have arrived at polling stations abroad

Romanian citizens who are abroad can vote in 965 polling stations, from Friday to Sunday.
3.600.000 ballot papers have already arrived at polling stations abroad, the Romanian Foreign Ministry announced this evening.
The institution estimates that it is statistically impossible for these ballot papers to be exhausted.
If, exceptionally and unprecedented in recent elections, a polling station abroad is at risk of running out of ballot papers, it may, with the agreement of the Electoral Office for outside Romania, request the redistribution of some ballot papers from less popular polling stations, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
