Metrorex collective contract negotiations continue

Negotiations between Metrorex management and trade unionists yesterday at the Ministry of Transport headquarters ended without reaching a consensus. The Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, said that discussions on the collective labor contract will continue. The employees' demands concern salaries, the staffing scheme and other contractual rights, RRA reporter Alex Avram transmitted.

Trade unionists threaten that if negotiations with the government fail, a general strike could be called in no more than three weeks, i.e. on November 19, the day on which Metrorex will mark its 45th anniversary.
