Klaus Iohannis convened the Supreme Council for National Defense for next week

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has called a meeting of the Supreme Council for National Defense for next week.
On the agenda are topics on the state of and prospects for the conflict in Ukraine, following the illegal and unjustified aggression by the Russian Federation, and the implications for Romania.
They will also discuss the opportunities offered by the new geopolitical context for strengthening the Strategic Partnership with the Republic of Moldova and ensuring the irreversibility of this country's European path.
The Council members will also discuss the Romanian Army's 2025-2034 equipping plan.
