Joining the Euro Area: Romania’s country project

Joining the Euro Area is a priority project for Romania, Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă said on Tuesday at the Romanian Academy, when presenting Report on National Plan for adoption of the Euro. In order for this to succeed, support of the entire society is needed, Viorica Dăncilă said.

Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă: In order for the accession to euro to bring benefits to the Romanians, it is essential to prepare for the pre-entry stage - European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM) - and to take the necessary measures to increase competitiveness and ensure sustainable economic growth.
