An internal administrative investigation will be conducted at the Brasov County Emergency Hospital following the death of a 35-year-old man who was sent home without treatment twice during the holidays when he went to the emergency room.
In turn, the Brasov police have opened a criminal investigation into the case and are awaiting the results of the autopsy.
The man's wife claims that although he complained of severe chest pains, he was sent home with "vitamins and algocalmin" because the doctors who examined him believed he was feeling ill due to "the cold."
The hospital management confirmed that the young man was examined by two doctors on duty on those days, both of whom considered that the patient did not have the symptoms of any condition requiring hospitalization and specific treatment.
The man died at home a week after returning from the hospital, and according to his family, preliminary medical results indicate that he suffered heart failure.
