Ilie Bolojan was appointed prime minister on Friday by President Nicusor Dan. The announcement was made on the very day that the current executive's interim term expired. The head of state emphasized that the Liberal leader is the most suitable person to make the necessary adjustments to the state apparatus.

The new prime minister-designate, Ilie Bolojan, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and listed the main directions he will continue to pursue in the negotiations to form a parliamentary majority.
