Ilie Bolojan: Balance between new competitiveness and defense objectives

EU Member States must find the right balance for the next EU budget between the new competitiveness and defense objectives, while maintaining the importance of cohesion and agricultural policies, wrote interim President Ilie Bolojan on the X network.

Ahead of the European Council to be held on Thursday and Friday, the Romanian Head of State also discussed by telephone with the President of this forum, Antonio Costa, Romania's priorities for continued EU support for Ukraine and the need for rapid action to increase competitiveness, both at EU and national level.
