The hearings in the specialized committees of Parliament of the ministers proposed to be part of the government led by Ilie Bolojan are nearing completion.
According to the schedule set by the Parliament leadership, the last to enter discussions at this time in the specialized committees are the ministers proposed for foreign affairs, environment, and culture.
All ministers heard so far have received favorable opinions by a majority vote. The hearings are taking place amid protests from the opposition, which is dissatisfied with the short time —half an hour —allocated to each minister.
During the debates in the joint committees for agriculture, MP Calin Maties wanted to find out more from the proposed minister, Florin Barbu, about agricultural collection centers.
"You said that processing is vital. On June 3, 2023, you promised 15 regional warehouses in vegetable-growing areas and areas with many orchards. I want to ask you: How many have you managed to build in two years?
Florin Barbu: I would like to announce that, through the National Strategic Program, over 20 collection centers have already been built, and I would invite you to join me in visiting the European funds where these centers, the 15 centers, were built by Romanian farmers... Feasibility studies have been carried out, and they are in the public procurement process", said Calin Maties.
After the hearings in the specialized committees, debates will follow in the joint plenary session, when the vote of confidence for Ilie Bolojan's cabinet will be held. The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
