European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to hold talks in Constanta on Monday with President Nicusor Dan and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will be in Romania on Monday and will meet with President Nicusor Dan and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan in Constanta, the Presidential Administration informs. The discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation between the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance, as well as on issues related to the prevention, detection and deterrence of maritime and hybrid threats.

The visit is part of a tour that Ursula von der Leyen began on Friday and includes trips to Latvia, Finland, Estonia, Poland, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Romania. The head of the European Commission wants to highlight the support for member states that face challenges due to the fact that they have common borders with Russia and Belarus or are located close to the front in Ukraine.
