Acting Prime Minister Catalin Predoiu: Europe Day message

Romania celebrates Europe Day on Friday, together with the entire European community, a fundamental landmark in post-war history and in the construction of the European project - says Acting Prime Minister Catalin Predoiu.

In a message released on this occasion, he says that Romania is an active part of the EU project.

European funds, freedom of movement, strengthening the institutions of the rule of law, are all proof of the profound and positive impact of our European Union membership - he added.

According to him, the celebration of Europe Day is taking place in a geopolitical context marked by overlapping crises and challenges to the rules-based international order, in which not only the physical borders of Europe, but also the moral and institutional borders of democracy must be defended.
