Tightened sanctions for abusive appeal to 112
President Klaus Iohannis promulgated the law that stipulates tightening of sanctions for the abusive appeal of the unique emergency number 112.

On Tuesday, President Klaus Iohannis promulgated the law that stipulates tightening of sanctions for the abusive appeal of the unique emergency number 112, introducing also the alternative sanction of performing an activity for the benefit of the community.
Abusive calling of the unique number for emergency calls 112 or sending of abusive messages to numbers 113 or 114 will be sanctioned with a fine from 1,000 lei to 2,000 lei, or with the provision from 100 hours to 200 hours of activities for the benefit community.
