The situation of funds in the NRRP, presented by the Minister for European Funds

The government submitted Payment Request No. 3 from the NRRP to Brussels and complied with the conditions for communication with the European Commission, amounting to €809.4 million, according to the Minister of Investment, Dragos Pislaru, so basically no money is lost on the initially incorrect public procurement milestones.
The resolved milestones were presented, whether we are talking about the operationalization of the agency for monitoring and evaluating the performance of public enterprises, the reform of state-owned companies, corporate governance, and special pensions, he added.
Dragos Pislaru: After Romania submits the letter, there will be a period of about two months during which the European Commission will analyze the evidence submitted by the Romanian government, form an opinion on it, and send us a letter of observations presenting its perspective on how Romania has met these milestones. Obviously, following that letter of observations, Romania will again have a period of about two months to justify any differences of opinion with the Commission's approach, and we hope that by the time the letter of observations arrives, at least on this issue related to the law on special pensions, we will have completed the reform in its entirety, i.e., it will have been promulgated.
Regarding Payment Request No. 4, amounting to €2.62 billion, Minister Dragos Pislaru said that progress is being made and most of these milestones are already ready to be sent to the European Commission.
