The Romanian Army will purchase over 200 Mistral anti-missile systems from France

Romania is purchasing 231 French Mistral portable anti-missile systems, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Defense.
The contract, worth over €625 million, was signed on Tuesday and also includes, among other things, over 930 missiles, training services, and logistical support.
The purchase was approved by parliament in June 2022 and was recently included in the European Union's SAFE program to strengthen defense capabilities and the European defense industry.
