The Prime Minister sent the Control Body to the Ministry of Health

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu has sent his Control Body to the Ministry of Health to examine how the institution carried out checks in April at St. Pantelimon Hospital in the capital, after an employee of the ICU reported several suspicious deaths of patients within a few days.

However, the findings of the inspection showed that the allegations were not confirmed and that there were only communication problems within the hospital.

On Wednesday, the head of the health ministry's control body, Sorin Luca, resigned amid a subsequent investigation by prosecutors and the arrest of two of the ICU doctors at St. Pantelimon, accused of knowingly causing the death of at least one patient in a serious condition.
