The Ministry of Finance is set to present the main indicators of this year's draft budget next week, in which investments will be an essential component, according to Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
At the same time, the executive intends to take responsibility in parliament for the reform of public administration and for a package of measures aimed at economic stimulation.
The reform of the administration corrects budgetary imbalances, stimulates performance, and decentralizes decisions to local authorities, said Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
In parallel with the administration reform, the government is also preparing a package of measures to stimulate the economy, which will be assumed by the executive in the plenary session of parliament in February.
The reform measures are necessary in view of the adoption of this year's budget, which, according to the prime minister, mainly targets investments.
The head of government indicated that the goal is to achieve a gross domestic product of over 2 trillion lei, while reducing the budget deficit close to 6%, objectives that are currently under discussion.
He also highlighted the importance of curbing inflation, estimating that it could reach a level slightly above 4%.
The prime minister said that the budget had not been adopted yet because the administration package did not have the support of all the parties in the coalition.
