The coalition will finalize the new proposal for reforming magistrates' pensions next week, and its adoption by November 28 to meet the NRRP milestone depends on how the Superior Council of Magistracy will react, Minister of Investment and European Projects Dragos Pislaru said Thursday.
The Superior Council of Magistracy may choose to delay the process and use the 30-day deadline, or it may choose to give its opinion as quickly as possible to help Romania receive the €230 million from payment request 3.
On the other hand, the Superior Council of Magistracy, which confirmed the failure of the discussions at Cotroceni on the reform of magistrates' pensions, argues that the achievement of milestone 215 in the NRRP does not depend on changing the current regime regarding the retirement conditions for magistrates.
