The budget deficit reached 3.39% of GDP after the first five months of 2025

The budget deficit reached 3.39% of Gross Domestic Product after the first five months of the year, compared to 3.41% in the same period last year, according to data published by the Ministry of Finance.

Revenues totaled 256 billion lei in the first five months, up 13.6% from last year. On the other hand, expenditures were 320 billion lei, up 12% from last year.
