"Swift Response 24" NATO multinational exercise has started

NATO multinational exercise "Swift Response 24" has started and is also taking place on Romanian territory. The application will include one of the largest airborne disengagement operations in Europe since the Second World War, with around 2.000 paratroopers.
A total of 5.000 military personnel from seven allied and partner countries are taking part in the exercise. Romania is providing air bases at Campia Turzii, Otopeni, Boboc, Banat Airport in Caransebes and three polygons. Romania is participating with 2.300 military personnel and 220 technical means - says the Ministry of Defence.
