State institutions do not share information and do not collaborate with each other in a structured, organized, and stable manner when it comes to decision-making, President Nicusor Dan pointed out at the 2025 Digital Governance Summit. The head of state noted that this situation affects the functioning of the state.
Reporter: President Nicusor Dan believes that digitization is a tool for the state in an increasingly competitive environment.
The head of state also mentioned several benefits of digital transformation, in administration or in combating corruption and tax evasion.
On the other hand, the Romanian president pointed out the lack of collaboration between institutions and specified that often the information received from certain areas was different.
Nicusor Dan: Often, the information you see from different areas is different or varies from month to month, and that is not normal. That is because there is no structure and collaboration between institutions so that the information you need to make decisions is presented in a structured, organized, and stable manner.
On the other hand, President Nicusor Dan said that the state does not have mechanisms for automatically detecting disinformation campaigns and that interaction between the state and citizens and the business community is often deficient.
