Romanian Minister of Defense, Nicolae Ciucă, has discussed, on Tuesday, in Bucharest, with Marillyn Hewson, President of Lockheed Martin - American company of military products and services, about progress of endowment programs established with this company.
The two have also analyzed aspects related to the opportunities for industrial cooperation, which could involve Romanian national defense industry in production, assembly or maintenance of equipment in the Lockheed Martin portfolio, which are or will belong to the Romanian Army.
During her visit to Bucharest, Marillyn Hewson has also met Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, in the presence of United States Ambassador to Bucharest, Adrian Zuckerman. As Minister Aurescu stressed, Romania and the United States have a very strong strategic partnership, with significant development potential.
