Romania's labour market recorded the highest number of individual employment contracts in 2023

RADOR RADIO ROMANIA (18 January) - The Romanian labour market set two records last year: the highest number of individual employment contracts, 6.725 million, and the highest number of employees, almost 5.750 million.
According to the Ministry of Labour, the information is based on data from the REVISAL computer system, which does not include employees in defence, public order, judiciary and civil servants.
The areas with the most new hires in 2023 were trade, car repair, construction and manufacturing.
After Bucharest, in first place with more than 1.4 million contracts, the counties with the most active employment contracts at the end of last year were Cluj, Timis, Ilfov, Iasi and Prahova, followed by Brasov, Arges, Constanta and Bihor.
