PSD announces that it has succeeded in imposing its arguments regarding the continuation of the "Anghel Saligny" program during Wednesday's government meeting.
The prime minister estimated that only slightly more than a third of the projects, those at an advanced stage of execution, could still be supported with funding, but the proposal to suspend a large number of investments was met with criticism.
After Wednesday's discussions with his political partners, Social Democratic leader Sorin Grindeanu welcomed the fact that his arguments had been accepted and said that an analysis of all local investments included in the program would follow.
Sorin Grindeanu: It has been decided that in the next two to three weeks, each county council president, together with the prefect of each county, will discuss with the Ministry of Development the status of each project, how it will be financed, how we will succeed, for those that are in their early stages, preserve and conserve part of these investments so that no project is frozen. We are in a period when work has begun on the budget adjustment. Any savings that can be made on other components and other budget lines, we, the PSD, have announced that we want to transfer them to the financing of this national program, "Anghel Saligny."
