Proposals for Defense and Economy Portfolios, Validated by the USR Political Committee

The nominations for the Defense and Economy ministerial portfolios were validated by the USR Political Committee during an online meeting.
The current Minister of Economy, Radu Miruta, has been proposed for the position of Minister of Defense, a role he currently holds on an interim basis, and he will also occupy the position of deputy prime minister.
In his stead, Senator Irineu Darau has been nominated to lead the Ministry of Economy.
These cabinet changes come after Ionut Mosteanu resigned nearly three weeks ago from the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, following a scandal regarding his academic credentials.
