Nicusor Dan: The Army is the most appreciated institution in Romania

Army Day was marked by numerous ceremonies in the main garrisons in the country, in the military bases where soldiers are deployed and in the theaters of operations.
President Nicusor Dan was present at the event organized at the 15th Mechanized Brigade "Podul Inalt" in Iasi. He stated that what Romania is today is due to the past struggles for freedom and independence, but also to the performance of today's soldiers.
Nicusor Dan: Romania is protected today because it has partners, and it has these partners because, in the recent period, some soldiers of the Romanian Army fought in theaters of operations. It is a rule in society: people are always right. The fact that, in all opinion polls, the Army institution is the most appreciated institution in Romania means that we find professionalism and professionals within the army.
The President also emphasized that, nowadays, peace is no longer a given; it is not enough to beat your chest and say you want peace, you have to be responsible in order to have peace - and this means that you have to prepare to have peace, to prepare to discourage war, President Nicusor Dan also stated.
