Naval Forces neutralized a maritime drone in the Black Sea

Military divers, specialized in the fight against explosive devices within the Romanian Naval Forces, neutralized on Wednesday an object that endangered navigation in the Black Sea, at the request of the Coast Guard, informs the Ministry of National Defence.
The soldiers of the 39th Divers Center traveled to the maritime area estimated at 36.000 nautical miles east of Constanta, and after analyzing the drifting object, they found that it was an unmanned surface vehicle, that is, a Sea Baby type maritime drone.
The intervention team received approval to neutralize the identified object in accordance with the operational procedures in force, and at around 1:00 p.m. the maritime drone was destroyed by controlled detonation, the press release also states.
