National Pension House: The number of beneficiaries of service pensions is decreasing

More than 11.000 people received service pensions in January, down 34 percent from the previous month. Most of them, nearly 5.500, are prosecutors and judges, according to National Pension House data.
Of this category, the highest average service pension was 22.505 lei, of which almost 20.000 lei came from the state budget and the rest from the state social security budget.
Among the members of Romania's diplomatic and consular corps, almost 740 people received service pensions.
The average pension was about 6.600 lei, of which almost 3.000 lei was paid from the state budget.
Other beneficiaries of service pensions are parliamentary officials, employees of the Court of Accounts, auxiliary staff of courts and prosecutor's offices, and civil aviation personnel.
