The motion of censure, initiated by the Senate group called 'Peace - Romania First' and supported by AUR and non-affiliated parliamentarians, is presented in the plenary session of Parliament.
In the document, the opposition criticizes the government's activity, which it claims has demonstrated its inability to manage finances, health, education, social protection, justice and public administration.
Senator Ninel Peia: This government has specialized with a consistency worthy of better causes in working against its own people. Measure after measure, Romanians pay more and receive less. We are not talking about a simple failure of governance, but about an administration that, through its repetitive actions, has clearly chosen the wrong side, against the fundamental interests of the citizens it claims to represent.
The motion of censure will be debated and voted on in a week, on Monday, December 15, in the plenary session of Parliament.
The initiators have resumed their appeal to the social democrats to support the initiative aimed mainly against the USR, called "progressives" by the opposition.
The title of the document is "Romania is not for sale - without progressives in government".
Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan recently said that the motion will test the solidity of the governing coalition.
