Mobilization of reservists, "only in exceptional situations"

The Ministry of Defense reports that documents have reappeared in the public space which are alleged to be evidence of preparations that the authorities would make in the context of the security situation in Ukraine. It is about an address of the Mures Military Center, to the County Directorate of Public Health, requesting the updating of the medical data of reservists, as well as the address sent by the Public Health Directorate to family doctors in this county, in order to provide this data.
The Radar Info Portal of the Ministry of National Defense states that this is an annual routine, unrelated to the conflict in the neighboring country. In Romania, compulsory military service was suspended by law at the end of 2005, when it was changed to a volunteer military system, and the resumption of enrollment can be done only if the state of mobilization is declared, as well as during the state of siege, when the execution of military service becomes mandatory.
