Radio Romania celebrates 97 years of broadcasting history on Saturday. This public service was established by royal decree of Ferdinand I, and later, King Carol II became its honorary president.
On this occasion, the Royal House of Romania sent a message through Prince Radu, who emphasized that public radio has reflected the evolution and aspirations of the nation, being a witness and chronicler of Romania's modern history.
Prince Radu: National Radio Day is a wonderful opportunity to evoke the deep and enduring historical connection between the Romanian Crown and the Romanian Broadcasting Society, an example of institutional dialogue over decades in education, culture, national identity, and journalism. I would like to express my appreciation to all journalists, technicians, and collaborators for their dedication and professionalism in keeping alive the tradition and mission of public radio, giving voice to the Romanian spirit and carrying it to the farthest corners of the country and the world.
