Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan says that the Capital City Mayoral Elections must be organized as soon as possible in order to be in the spirit of the law and in the interest of Bucharest residents.
He estimates that they could take place in the last week of November or the first of December.
The head of government stated during a special edition of the "Current Issues" debate on Radio Romania News that he will support these deadlines at next week's coalition meeting and recalled that PSD raised the condition in the coalition that each party have its own candidate, but says that he does not see any problem in respecting this, even if it was not discussed in the initial coalition protocol.
Ilie Bolojan referred again to the difficulties that arise in the relationship between political partners, but expressed his confidence in the responsibility of the parties that know the situation Romania is in.
It is in Romania's interest to have a stable government, the prime minister says, but he adds: not a stability that does nothing, that gets stuck, that is constantly flustered, but a serious stability that is persistent in making decisions.
