George Simion: (...) We are the clear winners of these elections, we claim victory on behalf of the Romanian people.
The Romanian people have decided today that they want real change, change for the better, that they finally want democracy.
The parallel count will ensure that any potential fraud will be identified, but so far, with small exceptions, such as problems with ballot papers and the queues that are still going on, I am satisfied with today's vote and I want to thank the Romanian state institutions for their professionalism and impartiality.
Most of all, I would like to thank the Romanians in the diaspora who have traveled hundreds of kilometers to be with their country. Thank you!
The whole world is watching us now, the most important are the people in the polling stations. We saw them in the first round. I want to ask all the members in the polling stations not to admit any electoral fraud, because that is the spirit of democracy, no electoral fraud; neither against me nor against my competitor.
Dear brothers and sisters in the polling stations, we pray for you to be strong and resist until the end of the counting of each ballot paper, as many times as necessary, until all polling station members can confirm that this is the final result. Please do not sign the minutes if you find irregularities, no matter how late it is.
I would like to thank our foreign guests that are here today from the United States, Poland, Portugal. We also have a lesson today. I will have a separate speech for you in which we would like to thank you.
Dear Romanians, today we have seen an extraordinary mobilization. From villages and towns, from the diaspora and from the most forgotten communities, Romanians came to vote not only with their stamp, but also with their hearts.
I would like to thank all those who stood in the queues, who guarded the polling stations, who defended every vote. It was a day of national courage, it was a day when we started to regain our democracy and the respect we deserve. I want to thank every single Romanian directly.
I thank you, father or grandfather, we are your revenge, the one who left us a rich, debt-free country. We will rebuild our Romania and you will finally feel the respect you deserve from society.
Some have already started to build governments on your back and on your hard work and your vote today. We won't allow that in any scenario, under any circumstances. Yes, payback, not revenge. We will not retaliate against anyone.
It is time, as of tonight, after the last ballot is counted at the polling stations in the diaspora where 9.500-10.000 people also voted, for the Romanian-Romanian war to end. It no longer matters which side everyone was on in these elections, this is democracy. The important thing is to join hands and start to heal the country and heal the wounds of the past. /.../to all Romanians, so I will be your president too!
Thank you to those who, at home and abroad, are chanting my name and to the millions of people who have made possible a victory, according to our estimates, of over 400.000 votes over our competitor, but it is not my victory, it is the victory of the Romanian people, humiliated, robbed and lied to so many times so far.
It is the victory of a man who should have been Romania's President, it is the victory of Calin Georgescu.
They can count on me. We are waiting for them at home and, Romanians abroad, you should know that only with you will I be able to make Romania great again among the other countries of the free world.
From tomorrow, my dears, we start rebuilding not only the institutions of the Romanian state, but also the trust between us.
Romania needs healing, honest work and leaders who do not forget where they started from. I do not promise miracles, but I promise to be present, day after day among you, active, as no president has ever been before, day after day, week after week, month after month.
A new era is being born tonight. It is time for an era in which Romania will be democratic, Christian and rich. So help us God.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and we will remain here for the rest of this evening, alongside, in communication with our colleagues in the polling stations. Thank you for the Romanian vote, I will represent them with honor. Thank you!
